This is a natural untreated Mexican Fire Opal cut by Hawk.

The faceting design features a simple brilliant style cut crown with a triangular and step cut pavilion.

This gem is completely natural and untreated. It is very orange. Surface polish is very good and the cut is very good.

It is only translucent due to some internal fogginess. Strong light will show some flash. There is some minor inclusion visible from the bottom near one corner but it is eye clean viewed from the top of the gem. There is no opal play of color in this stone.
